Being well aware of this, Bill Gates has a plan that could help displaced workers economically while freeing up labor for work that requires human empathy and understanding. His plan: Implement a tax on companies that use robots. The co-founder of Microsoft believes such a tax would create a smooth transition to the world of automation, but instead of us telling you what he thinks, watch this little clip of Gates himself explaining why he would tax robots.
