Symbols count. On International Women’s Day, the world’s third-largest asset manager has installed a bronze statue of a defiant girl in front of Wall Street’s iconic charging bull statue. Along with the statue, the manager stated it would vote against the boards if a company failed to take steps to increase its numbers of members who are women.
