Mushrooms provide easy opportunities for people to add more food to their diet at negligible cost—in that sense they can deliver a great contribution to eradicating hunger. Now a study shows that eating mushroom protein is at least as good and filling as eating meat protein. The results of the study confirm that vegetarian and vegan diets that allow for less energy-intensive farming can feed the world.
