The Swiss claim this is the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in the world. It measures 494 meters long (1,620 ft), stands 85 meters (280 ft) above the valley below and is just 65 cm (26 in) wide. If you dare to cross it and are lucky enough not to encounter someone going in the opposite direction, you may enjoy sublime views of the Matterhorn, one of the most scenic mountains in the Alps.
